Our friends at the Wisconsin Alliance for Infant Mental Health have created a service to keep people connected during this time of crisis and confusion. Need to connect with others and reflect on your situation? The “You Are Not Alone” service is open to all who want to make contact and share supports. More information below and at their website.
In this challenging time, we all need to reach out to connect with others in a safe space.
Free 20-minute calls (via video or voice- whatever you prefer), scheduled every half hour will provide an opportunity for an individual or a small group of 2-3 people to connect and reflect. A call Facilitator with unique skills to support others will be on hand to maintain a supportive holding environment. Callers sign up for time in advance. Calls can be scheduled at any time that a Facilitator is available, from 5 AM-11:30 PM.
How to Connect: Follow the simple steps below
-
Go to Sign Up Genius
-
If the link above doesn’t work, you can search for the sign-up in Sign Up Genius using the email YANA@wiaimh.org.
-
Please review the available slots and click on a date/time to sign up for a time to talk. Be sure to select either Facilitator or Caller. If you are a Caller, you should select a day and time when a Facilitator is scheduled. Calls will only be held when a Facilitator is listed. (Your name will appear, so use a pseudonym if that feels more comfortable.)
-
You’ll be making the connection through Zoom at https://zoom.us/j/8394975379. (You will be able to turn off video and use just audio if that is your preference. )
-
If you are not familiar with Zoom, you may find information about how to use Zoom by clicking HERE. We recommend downloading the app and trying it out before your scheduled meeting.
