Healthcare Clinics Impacted By Flooding
Local health departments or health care providers impacted by the flooding should follow their Emergency Vaccine Storage, Handling, and Transportation Preparedness plan. For more information, review the CDC’s Vaccine Storage and Handling Toolkit-2018 (starting on page 41). If vaccine was exposed to out of range temperatures, follow the temperature excursion and workflow found on the WI Immunization Program website.
Please stay safe and healthy during this time.
Flood Water Exposure and Implications for Vaccination
Please see the memo titled ” Flood Water Exposure and Implications for Vaccinations.” Keep in mind that exposure to flood water alone is not a reason to give tetanus-containing vaccine or any other vaccine.
